About me
Belinda Evans is an Australian Artist, on a journey back to nature, and what it really means to be free. Taking philosophy and the spiritual in many forms as a starting point, exploring what it means to be free, what is the meaning of life? Reflecting on a highly abstracted tech based life, and juxtaposing this with being ‘free’ in nature. Belinda’s passion for the bush and beach and how it relates to us in a physical, emotional and spiritual way has come from an early childhood spent mostly in the bush and beach of the Mornington Peninsula.
Belinda has worked with different art forms for more than 20 years, and has a degree in Fine Arts, and studied art in London, Sydney and Melbourne.
Working primarily with drawing in ink and charcoal, painting, and ephemeral sculpture. Belinda has experimented with many materials from clay to sound, masonite to calico, and is inspired by free flowing drawing in ink, from studying traditional Chinese painting techniques.
