Belinda Evans is a multidisciplinary artist whose work is defined by a rigorous process of sketching, documentation, and material exploration.

Developed from a philosophical foundation and a Fine Arts degree, her practice investigates the dynamic relationship between lived experience and artistic representation.

Operating through a philosophical and reflective lens, Evans’ work merges the act of observation with an immersion beyond logic to what Evans refers to as ‘searching for what is before thought’.  This dual process explores the documentation of life and landscape while simultaneously giving form to the complex emotional and psychological dimensions of the human condition – the struggles, emotions, and introspective thoughts that define what it means to be alive.

Belinda has travelled extensively and documented her surroundings with sketching and painting.  These are all inputs to what is evolved to larger works on paper and sculptural elements to create expansive environments and installations.
