Camino de Santiago, Spain

Walking the Camino to Santiago de Compostelo has been a life and art tranformative process.  From initially a 100km walk up the coast of Spain 100km, then 150km.  To the challenging Frances Camino, 300km from Leon to Santiago, carrying everything I own on my back for 16 days.

Mornington Peninsula

From my summer camp I walk and swim and play in the bush and beach, just I have done since my childhood.  This is where I feel closest to my natural self, watching and listening and taking in the sculptural lines of the tea-trees, the colours of the sunsets and the play of the birds and animals surrounding me.

Around the winding River, near Heidelberg

Across the park each day it is easy to find and sense the rich and ancient paths along the Yarra.  The dance of the white ghost gums, the abundance of birds and kangaroos around the rivers edge.  So distinct from other landscapes around the world, yet just as lush and exciting, teeming with life.

People and Places

My work and family have taken me to many places around the world, and my sketch book has always accompanied me too.  Highlights include life drawing at the Modern Tate in London, experiencing amazing inkworks in Beijing, and of course Road tripping up the East coast of Australia.
