‘Swimming’
‘Swimming’ is a transcription of the sensory shock and exhilaration found in the cold sea. These marks trace the moment the water ‘takes over’ and the self begins to dissolve into colour and sensation. Created at my campsite studio on the Mornington Peninsula, this work is part of an investigation of the blurred edge where the external world ends and the self begins.
