Description
‘Following the sand lines’, is a works on canvas created at my camp site on the Mornington Peninsula, you might even find reminents of some sand and bush floor in the painting. Walking along the shore line there is a constant changing canvas of water lines, wave movements and seaweed dancing about. To the top left are the Cormorants, patiently waiting for their next dinner on the rocks, just far out enough to be safe from predators like us.
Created using a absorbent ground gesso to allow a mix of the water and colour and pastel on the surface. Working from immediate memories of the walk just finished.
Multi medium work on canvas, mounted on wooden panel using Japanese mounting technique, varnished, 68x105cm
